In this article we are reflecting on our game week 11 performance, and preview the FPL gameweek 12 squad.
Gameweek 11 Review

We decided to take the 4 point hit in order to get Mendy into our team for a long term plan. Although we liked Ings’s stats – mentioning this in our recent article – he had to be sold in order to fund the transfer.
So here is how the team performed for GW11:
Gameweek 11 points: 76 (-4pts) Total – 72 points
Overall points: 715
Overall rank: 33,417
So a pretty decent game week, however it seemed that it was a great game week for many with City players doing the damage. We touched on this previously in a tweet regarding the FPL managers worried after GW10 when their City players didn’t perform, while the Liverpool owners thrived.
Seeing plenty of FPL managers panic for not owning triple Liverpool in GW10, while their triple City face a tricky match tonight.
Swings and roundabouts.
City v Southampton
Arsenal v Liverpool

Arnautovic, Richarlison and Aguero done the damage for the week, while the transfer in of Mendy was a disappointment, only returning 2 points. However, as mentioned the transfer was for a long term plan that we are happy to hold for.
Game week 12 Preview
We have 1 free transfer and £0.2m in the bank for GW12.
With the international break coming AGAIN after GW12, the plan was to always have 2 free transfers to use after. Thankfully, our squad currently has no injuries so we are happily going to be rolling the free transfer this game week.
Liverpool’s home match against Fulham is the obvious potential big scorer, and owning both Salah and Robertson should put us in good stead. Another notable fixture is Chelsea v Everton, where we will reluctantly have to play both Alonso and Richarlison. Feels like one of them game weeks where we would take a big Chelsea victory to nil, at the expense of a poor week for the Brazilian.
We can only wish though, and FPL always throws plenty of surprises.
So without any injuries during the Champions League this week, we will be rolling the transfer and hoping the squad can replicate this weeks score.
For GW12, there are a number of home matches that make our big players captaincy picks. Hazard playing Everton at home is a potential for points, however Everton’s recent form will prove to be a tricky test for Chelsea.
Aguero facing United at the Etihad wouldn’t be a major consideration, but with United’s leaky defence it seems a great opportunity for City goals. Aguero has returned in all of his home matches this season, and on current form it doesn’t seem like that will stop this weekend.
Although both are candidates, Salah’s home match against Fulham is too good to resist as an owner. Fulham have conceded the joint most away goals (15), and an average of 21.8 shots conceded per game. We think that Salah could score a hatful in this match and if you own him or other Liverpool attackers, we’d recommend setting them as your captain!
So here’s the team for GW12:
Be sure to check out our recent article on Martial, and whether it is worth buying the Frenchman.
